100: Intro to Aviation Science

The Introduction to Aviation Science course is a cooperative program between the Aeronautical Center of Technology, Indy South Greenwood Airport, and local school corporations. The course is designed to promote science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) using aerospace disciplines through teamwork and individual activities.

101: Rocketry & Launch Systems

Students will learn Newton’s Laws of Motion as they relate to rocket propulsion. Students will design a custom fuselage nose cone to create using a 3D printer. They will also design, build and launch their own model rockets.

102: UAS Pilot Certification

This course covers the numerous applications for UAS, National Airspace System, UAS designs, and FAA regulations governing the operation of UAS. Upon successfully passing the FAA exam, the student will receive their FAA (UAS) Remote Pilot certificate.

103: Aeronautical Engineering & 3D Printing

The Aeronautical Engineering & 3D printing is a cooperative program between the Aeronautical Center of Technology, Indy South Greenwood Airport, and local school corporations. The course is designed to promote science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) using aerospace disciplines through teamwork and individual activities.

104: Private Pilot Theory

This course is designed to help the student evaluate the exciting field of aviation as a career. The program prepares the student to successfully pass the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) (PAR) Private Pilot written exam.​This course prepares the student to successfully pass the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) (PAR) Private Pilot written exam.

It will cover principles of flight, meteorology, navigation, ATC communications, FAA regulations and more. Upon completion of the course the student will receive an endorsement to take the written exam.

Aeronautical Center of Technology (A.C.T.)  had originally scheduled courses to begin in 2021. However due to COVID and delay of building materials these courses began in January 2023.

The next Private Pilot Theory class will be accepting enrollment starting March 1, 2023 through July 31, 2023.  Classes will begin August 9, 2023 (enrollment is limited).
